Saving the Indian Tacos
Everyone at our house loves Indian Tacos!
They are just so delicious!
Even Luke, who has a very short list of things he loves, gets excited when we go there. (He only eats the fry bread plain, but I'll take what I can get from that kid!)
Last week I found out that the restaurant at the Indian Center was closing at the end of the month.
It's been a sad, depressing week for all of us.
What would we do if we lost one of the two places that we all love to eat at--Freddy's and the Indian Center. (Four of the five also love Cici's, but Ben's a bit of a Debbie Downer when he has to eat there.)
We went there today for our final meal.
As I was leaving I told the lady how sad we were that they were closing. To my surprise she said that there was such a public out cry about it's closing that the board was going to reconsider keeping them open!
There's hope that we may not lose the delicious fry bread!!
Guess what I'll be adding to my prayer list?!

Sno-Cones
One of the very best things about summer is getting to eat sno-cones.
They are so delicious!
Sadly our sno-cone place got rid of it's picnic table this year, so we don't have anywhere to sit and eat them.
It just isn't quite the same when you have to eat them in a nice cool car instead of sweating to death on a hot bench, but we still enjoy our summer treat!

The 3rd of July
The boys went fishing at my grandpa's farm a couple of weeks ago. I tagged along.
There wasn't very many fish being caught that night, only one the whole night, but that didn't keep us from having a good time!
Henry spent most of his time rounding up, and playing with, a bunch of frogs. Sadly, he ended up using them for fishing bait. That's the part of fishing that I just can't handle.
Josh spent his time squirreling around with anyone who would pay attention to him.
I spent my time socializing and trying to ignore the poor goldfish and frogs that had a sad destiny awaiting them.
The best part of the night, though, was the fireworks.
The farm is technically in the county, but it's almost totally surrounded by city. That means we had fireworks going off on three sides of us.
It was an impressive show!
Definitely one of the best fishing trips I've gone along on--not that I've gone on very many!

Still Over the Moon!
Ben's wedding ring went missing from his finger yesterday.
Just completely disappeared.
When he told me about it, he said that for some reason he thought he had a dream that the ring was strangling the life out of his finger and that maybe he took it off while he was sleeping.
He did, in fact, end up finding it on the floor under the bed
I'm attributing the dream to too much delicious food and not as a metaphor for our marriage!
Happy 10th Anniversary, Benjamin! The next ten are going to be even more amazing!
(By the way, his ring may be too tight, but my wedding dress still fits me perfectly! Yay me!!)
